Mt. Washington Middle School is looking for an instructional health assistant. This is a full-time position. 

This position is 6.75 hours per day and 170 instructional days, 4 holidays, 7 planning days and 2 extended days for at total of 183 days per year.  Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date. (Considered full time with benefits)

MWMS is seeking applicants with the following qualifications.

• Have strong communication skills and the ability to relate to students.
• Have the belief that all kids can learn at high levels.
• Have a positive attitude and a tremendous work ethic.
• Be dedicated to the profession.

Must have 48 semester hours, an Associates Degree or have a high school diploma and have passed the paraeducator assessment exam.  Must provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.

Step 0: $12.85 per hour

Step 10: $16.28 per hour

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE:  It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year long contract and divided by 26 paychecks.  This position is considered a ten month employee on the pay schedule.  4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
