This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.

Mt. Washington Elementary is looking for a custodian to perform routine custodial activities as well as assist in overseeing the work of the night sweepers.  Their focus will be to maintain the building and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly and secure condition.  We are looking for a positive, high energy individual who is motivated to keep the building and grounds in good order.

This position is 8 hours per day and 260 days per year.  Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date.  (Considered full time with benefits - see below)

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire

Salary based on the Board approved salary schedule for the 2024-2025 school year.

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE:  It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year long contract and divided by the number of reamining paychecks.
