This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.
Assist a certificated Kindergarten teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups; monitor and report student progress.
This position is for 6.25 hours per day and 183 days per year.
(170 student instructional days, 4 paid holidays, 7 planning days and 3 extended days)
Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date.

- Must have 48 semester hours, an Associates Degree or have a high school diploma or equivalent and have passed the paraeducator exam and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.
New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)
Step 0: $15.59
Step 10: $19.19
Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year-long contract and divided by the number of remaining paychecks. This position is considered a ten month employee on the pay schedule. 4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
