Shepherdsville Elementary is searching for Preschool Teacher candidates who are excited to meet the needs of a diverse student population of learners.  SES is looking for a master teacher that values classroom engagement, a passion for learning, differentiation for all students, and maintains high expectations that delivers student growth.  Candidates must be committed to ensuring all students are prepared for Kindergarten.

This position requires an IECE certification. Applicants must be mindful that this position requires both general education and special education requirements in an early childhood preschool classroom for three and four year old children that includes behavior disabilities.  In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualities:
*professional educator qualities
*strong academic skills in all content areas
*strong knowledge of and implementation of best practice teaching strategies appropriate for three and four year old at risk-children some of whom will have significant behavior issues
*self-initiating
*flexible
*patient
*able to partner in a professional realtionship with one or more instructional assistants
*able to prepare all of the paperwork required both for preschool record keeping and special education
recordkeeping including Individual Education Plan (IEP) requirements, be able to interpret school
psychologist reports for eligibility requirements, meet all deadlines, monitoring of student progress, and reporting student progress to parents as required by the district and school
*able to schedule special education meetings in a timely manner meeting all district and school
requirements, facilitate special education meetings in a professional manner in partnership with the Admission and Release Committee Chairperson,
*work as a partner in a professional relationship with the school principal, school counselor
, Family Resource Center Coordinator, other school support staff; Preschool Department director, consultant, and support staff; as well as all special education support staff
*develop the bus routes in partnership with district Transportation staff
*maintain a professional relationship with all Transportation and bus monitor staff
*maintain a professional relationship with all parents
*exhibit behavior of being a team player in all aspects of the school environment
*support and participate in both preschool and total school activities
