LJES is seeking a qualified Special Education Instrucitonal Assistant that is enthusiastic and creates a positive learning climate that excites students. Above all, we seek candidates with the belief that every student can achieve at high levels.
This position is 6.5 hours per day and 170 instructional days, 4 holidays, 7 planning days and 2 extended days for at total of 183 days per year. Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date. (Considered full time with benefits - see below)
- Must have 48 semester hours, an Associates Degree or have a high school diploma and have passed the paraeducator assessment exam. Must provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.
Step 0: $14.85
Step 10: $18.28
Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year long contract and divided by the number of remaining paychecks. This position is considered a ten month employee on the pay schedule. 4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
