This position is paid from ESS grant funding so it is funded for the 2024-2025 school year only.

 

Freedom Elementary is looking for a tutor to work with students in third through fifth grade. The tutor will help students with reading and math instruction in small groups with the primary goal of increasing fluency in both subjects. 

 

 

This position is for 3.5 hours per day and 55 student instructional days.  

Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date. 

Position is part-time and not eligible for benefits unless combined with another position.

  

• Must have 64 college credit hours and a 2.5 GPA and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.

 

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE:  It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

 

Step 0: $23.33 per hour

Step 10: $25.55 per hour

 

Although Classified positions are paid at an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year-long contract and divided by the number of remaining paychecks.  This position is considered a ten-month employee on the pay schedule.  4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
